Nic obtained multiple degrees from MIT (B.S., M.Eng, M. S.) and is now working on technologies and scientific approaches for studying neural synchrony, its control, and potential applications of such insights to neuroengineering and psychiatry.

Projects

  • Optogenetic hardware and systems for control of neural circuits and biological functions with light

  • Recording and data analysis technologies for observing and analyzing neural circuit dynamics

  • Understanding how neural circuits compute, drive behaviors, yield brain disorders, and can serve as therapeutic targets
