Patrick Monahan

[Web: http://syntheticneurobiology.org/]  [Email: pmonahan, followed by @media.mit.edu]  [Phone: N/A]

Patrick came to the lab having previously studied Alzheimer's Disease, Pain, Cognition and Plasticity. He completed a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Sciences at Marquette University, and a Masters in Cell Biology, Neurobiology and Anatomy from Loyola University Chicago. Patrick is currently working on the study of how the brain processes signals relating to the perception and overcoming of chronic pain.

Projects

  • Understanding how neural circuits compute, drive behaviors, yield brain disorders, and can serve as therapeutic targets
